Deke's Beat of the Week - Decemberadio "Satisfied"

This week my beat of the week comes from a brand new CD from one of our favorite bands here on Crossroad. Decemberadio, a band known for their solid lyrics and good old southern rock, has released their sophomore album simply titles "Satisfied" and at the risk of sounding cheesy (like that ever stopped me before) I am completely satisfied with this CD.

The current release on Crossroad(and first song on the CD) is "Better Man". This song starts the pace of this solid album with some crunchy guitar licks and lyrics which praise the Lord for His ability to make us "better men." From there the album flows from flat out ROCK (like in the blazing song, Gasoline) to the mild ballad's of Love Can and radio favorite Find You Waiting.

This is a solid album that will not disappoint fans of Decemberadio.  This is also a album that has the power to propel them even further in the Christian music industry.  In fact, some of the tracks caused me to reminisce about another band, Third Day, who started out with that southern rock feel (and have since returned to that sound).

On a personal note, I have to say I love the guys from Decemberadio because they love the Lord and desire to glorify Him with every mind numbing guitar riff and lyric.  We had the opportunity to hang out with the guys this summer at SumFun 08 in Madison and it was blessing to chat music and ministry.  You can also check out the video below.  They have also visited my church a couple times over the past few years and have created a bond with many there.

So if you want a great sounding, southern rocking, God glorifying, guitar string melting, radio blasting good time then check out the latest from Decemberadio.  I guarantee you'll be Satisfied.
